One of the biggest events in the world – Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC)

Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC) is one of the arts and cultural festival, a carnival event with a unique dress that was held every year in a small town located on the eastern tip of Java island, Indonesia. All performances costume fashion parade was held in the form of a path along the 3.6 km, which can be said as well as the world’s longest catwalk. They are divided into 8 march, which respectively reflect the fashion trends for that year. The first part is the Archipelago is the theme of the national dress of certain areas in Indonesia on a regular basis such as Java, Bali, Sumatra, and so on. More file past the theme of fashion is a trend that is of a country, a particular group, movie, event or other global events.

JFC this year have been held on July 8, 2012 and feature 10 march. The tenth march include Rome Empire, Madurese, Oceanarium, Persians, Orchidaceae, Savana, Mushroom, Dragon, Trinidad & Tobago, Planet Heredity.

This festival could attract hundreds of domestic and foreign tourists, who visit the town of Jember only to witness the splendor of this Jember Fashion Carnaval. Jember Fashion Carnaval entered in the fourth event in the world after Mardi Gras New Orleans USA, Rio De Janeiro & Fastnatch Cologne Germany.

JFC was first held on January 1, 2001, in conjunction with the birthday of the city of Jember. JFC for this year was held on July 8, 2012. JFC was first on the idea by a fashion house Dynand Fariz, inspired by Fashion Week Dynand Fariz. When fashion week, as the owner of the fashion house, Dynand Fariz require every employee to wear a dress in accordance with world fashion trends. After that, they show it off by going around the village and town square Jember. From this arose the idea to showcase the creative idea into a carnival Dynand Fariz, who now has won numerous awards in the fashion world.
