Port Arthur is a small village located on the island of Tasmania Australia Peninsula. This place is a black heritage to Australia and became a museum for tourists who come there. Donâ€™t far from the capital city of Tasmania, Hobart. This place can be achieved easily and is just 60 km from Hobart.

Long ago, Port Arthur is the resting place of loggers and became a prison for prisoners of the British and Irish exiles were sent to Australia and was imprisoned there in the early 1830’s. The prisoners are employed is also a cutter-cutter. This place is so spacious and have a place of severe punishment or death penalty may be said to be done there. This prison has a beautiful landscape as it is situated on a peninsula of the island and surrounded by water.

Now this place is a tourist place and protected by the United Nations (UNESCO) as world cultural heritage and is also protected by the Australian government as part of the “Australian Convict Sites” World Heritage.

Once there, you will enter the building where there is a souvenir shop and cafe, keep in mind in 1996, in this cafe mass shootings by mental ill people and many tourists both local and overseas died in the incident, 35 people died and 26 people injured. After passing through the building and out of it came there we see the natural beauty and the cool air.

The staff there are happy to assist you and provide information to you other than that you can read the information sheets and boards there, and you are requested not to ask for the incident on 28 April 1996, because it’s very painful massacre this small town.

With an area of approximately 100 acres of this place like a bed of large garden with furnished by the remains of collapsed buildings and huge lakes. Visitors can walk in this area and see the old buildings there are mostly in jail. There are about 30 buildings you can enter. Maybe you need 4-5 hours to look around Port Arthur and you want to visit the island.

Port Arthur is you can also visit the small islands, islands that are there, the famous one is the “Isle of the Dead”, a small island that used to isolate prisoners and eventually became their graves there. For about 40 years, this small island has become a graveyard for thousands of prisoners who died. Therefore, Port Arthur is also one of the horrible places in Australia, certainly at night.
