Great Barrier Reef – Australia
Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest collection and most beautiful coral reef is composed of approximately 3,000 reefs and 900 picturesque tropical islands, with exceptional sun-soaked, golden beaches stretches for 3,000 km.
This reef is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland in northeast Australia.
The reef contains an abundance of marine life that you can enjoy when visiting the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Coral gardens can be seen from space and are sometimes referred to as the single largest organism in the world, was also voted as one of UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981. The Great Barrier Reef is a sought after tourist destination. You can enjoy snorkelling, scuba diving, helicopter tours, glass bottomed boat viewing, whale watching, swimming with dolphins and many others.
The Great Barrier Reef is protected and is one of the seven wonders of the natural world. At it’s length it is larger than the Great Wall of China and can even be seen from space!
