Grand Cayman Hotels: Margaritaville Beach Resort
Looking for a change in latitude? The newly opened Margaritaville Beach Resort Grand Cayman is now welcoming guests to the resort set on Seven Mile Beach. The former Treasure Island Resort recently completed a multi-million-dollar renovation to rebrand as Margaritaville, the hotel inspired by all things Jimmy Buffett.
“We are delighted to welcome travelers to Margaritaville Beach Resort Grand Cayman, and excited to show the results of incredibly hard work that has taken place over the past year here,” says Howard Sitzer, CEO and chairman of Howard Hospitality Group (HHG). “We look forward to welcoming locals and tourists from afar to this very special resort, which is truly a piece of paradise.”
The Grand Cayman hotel will feature six restaurants including Margaritaville Coffee Shop serving breakfast pastries and coffee, License to Chill Bar, Banana Wind Café with panoramic ocean views, poolside 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill, and its signature restaurant YARA The Global Steakhouse. Each guest room boasts a private balcony with an ocean, pool or island view.
Three pools are on deck, including a pool with a waterslide (perfect for the kids), a large pool with a swim-up bar, a zero-entry kiddie pool area and an adults-only pool.
Guests looking to explore other areas of Grand Cayman can check out Cayman Turtle Farm, which is home to more than 7,000 green sea turtles, as well as a number of fish, sharks and birds. Take a dry tour of the farm or opt for a wet tour, which includes snorkeling in an artificial lagoon. Don’t miss a trip to Stingray City to swim by a shallow sandbar and feed friendly Atlantic Southern stingrays.
The resort is slated to be fully operational in Fall 2017, but as part of its soft opening, select guest rooms are now open, as well as the License to Chill Bar, Margaritaville Coffee Shop and 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill.
